About Me
I’m a network and systems enthusiast with hands-on experience managing Linux and Windows environments, whether physical, virtual, or cloud-based. I graduated from Mohawk College with an Advanced Diploma in Computer Systems Technician – Network Systems, and since then I’ve built, updated, and documented network topologies, troubleshot technical issues, and translated complex IT concepts into solutions anyone can understand. In my role as a Network Analyst at the City of Hamilton, I not only managed Active Directory, virtual phone systems, and ticketing workflows, but also automated password delivery and other repetitive tasks using scripting tools like PowerShell, Bash, and Python—freeing up time for more strategic work.
Earlier in my career, I gained valuable experience as a lifeguard and Aquatics Team Leader at the YMCA, coordinating programs, training staff, and responding to critical safety situations. That experience taught me teamwork, leadership, and the importance of staying calm under pressure—skills that continue to guide me in IT and beyond.
Outside of work, I’m driven by curiosity and a love of staying busy. You might find me behind a camera capturing street art, graffiti, or landscapes, wake surfing on a calm morning, or experimenting with self-hosted servers in my home lab. I also enjoy endurance swimming and traveling, always looking for new experiences and perspectives. One of my favorite hobbies, photography, blends patience, observation, and creativity—skills that complement my technical problem-solving.
I approach both work and life with the philosophy that “the devil makes work of idle hands.” I’m energized by challenges, enjoy finding solutions, and embrace opportunities to learn something new every day.
